1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit it. They are used to recognise your device on subsequent visits, remember preferences, or collect statistics about how the site is used.
2. Which cookies we use
bobiset.pt is a static site (no authentication, no cart) and does not place first-party cookies on your device. We do not use:
- Advertising or profiling cookies.
- Social-network cookies.
- Google Analytics, Matomo or other persistent-cookie analytics tools.
3. Aggregate analytics (Vercel Web Analytics)
We use Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregate traffic (most-visited pages, device, country). This tool is designed to respect privacy:
- No cookies are placed and no persistent user identifiers are created.
- IP addresses are not stored in reversible form: they are processed in memory to derive a temporary hash (which rotates daily and per site), used solely to derive country and device type.
- No cross-site tracking and no individual profiling.
Legal basis: legitimate interest of Bobiset to understand how the site is used (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Since the service uses no cookies or device identifiers, the prior-consent requirement of Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC does not apply.
4. Strictly necessary third-party cookies
Strictly necessary technical cookies may be placed by the following providers, indispensable to the site's operation:
- Vercel (hosting and CDN) — may place technical cookies for load balancing and abuse protection. These are session cookies, with no profiling.
Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the prior-consent requirement under Directive 2002/58/EC (Art. 5(3)) and Portuguese Law no. 41/2004.
5. Controlling cookies
Most browsers accept cookies automatically but allow you to block or delete them. You can change your browser settings here:
6. Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated if we start using analytics cookies (e.g., Plausible) or any other privacy-impacting technology. In that case, a consent notice will be presented before any data collection takes place.
